Vega, Affordable Housing Floors

Vega represents an innovative approach to affordable housing under the Deen Dayal Awas Yojana (DDAY) scheme, envisioned to redefine compact urban living through modular design and efficient planning. Developed in collaboration with the international firm Sto Rey, this project marks a pioneering effort in introducing a new construction and layout typology for smaller residential plots.
The prototype, constructed on a 92 sq. m. site, demonstrates how intelligent spatial organization, contemporary aesthetics, and structural efficiency can converge to create scalable, affordable, and livable housing solutions. The design emphasizes functional clarity, optimized natural light, and material efficiency, reflecting R. K & Associates’ forward-thinking approach to socially responsive and adaptable residential architecture.
